Suject: RPX/Datasprings Dynamic Registration
Request: Include Additional Profile Data

Existing:
Initial registrations currently pre-populate the DR form with the following fields:

First Name UKNuke_GivenName
Last Name UKNuke_FamilyName
Email Addresss UKNuke_BestEmail
Username UKNuke_BestUserOrDisplayName
Display Name UKNuke_BestDisplayOrUserName

Questions:
1. How can we add additional fields to this set?
IE. Profile/Name/Address data listed here: https://rpxnow.com/docs#profile_data

2. Can the RPX Authentication mod be configured to use the mapping method?

3. Is any of this hard-coded in the source files, or is it something we can modify without?

Side note: The most valuable information to retrieve and pre-populate immediately upon authentication - is the users profile picture. When this happens - to the average joe - it's like magic. The rapport generated from this experience is priceless. If you want to sell more copies of this module...this is by far the first improvement I would make.

Please advise,
Thank you!

Thanks for the suggestions and requests, endortech

Some quick answers:

1. and 3. - The fields are currently fixed within the RPX plugin - they include the fields which are commonly provided by almost all RPX client APIs - quite a lot of the other fields are not commonly provided, especially in the free RPX service.

2. assuming you mean the Mapping API within RPX, I've steered clear of this so far - as it's only available for paid RPX accounts. I think that similar functionality is already available within DNN - you can associate multiple RPX sources with the same DNN account.

I'll take a look at the profile picture thing. When I wrote the module, DNN didn't have a profile picture field, and facebook didn't allow you to store the picture URL because of their privacy rules, but a lot of things have changed since then - and obviously are still changing lots in facebook!
