Hi there.
I have installed the "UKNuke RPX Authentication Extension" following the instructions on your page. On step where I have to configure this extension I receive this error message:

“Version Date: 10 Oct 2009
Error: is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.FieldEditorControl.CreateEditor() at DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.FieldEditorControl.DataBind() at DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.PropertyEditorControl.AddFields(Table tbl) at DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.PropertyEditorControl.CreateEditor() at DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.PropertyEditorControl.DataBind() at UKNuke.Authentication.RPX.Settings.OnLoad(EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---”

Please advise.
Best regards,
Kruno.

I managed to start this module.

After successfully installation (step 12. In manual) you have to restart IIS. After I restarted the IIS the error messaged disappear and module starts to work.

This is my configuration:
DNN 5.2.3; IIS 7.0; SQL 2008 on Win 2008 R2 server.

Best regards,
Krunoslav.

Thanks - (also discussed by email)

Still not sure what caused this.

Not reproduced it here with a similar setup (SQL Server 2008 Express the only difference)

There's a chance that this is caused by DNN/ASP.Net not restarting after the installation - not sure why this would be - perhaps some compilation optimisation.

Glad to hear you got it working anyway

Hmm - I have this issue on a DNN 5.4.2 and a 5.2.2 system - unfortunately restarting IIS did not help ;(

Any other suggestions?

Ok, in true Windows fashion I uninstalled (with deleted files) and reinstalled the FB module and it now works... VERY odd ;)
